The Buzz about Hot Fuzz
Sanford will never be the same when overachieving police man...errr sorry officer Nicholas Angel
is sent in to join their small town force...sorry official guidelines state that we must now call it police service. This
movie is non stop action, taking us back in our minds to such movies as Bad Boys and Point Break which are refered to time
and again. Simon is wonderfully on target with his usual style, and Nick Frost is lovable and endearing as Danny. Think you
can figure out the plot twists before the end....??? Well watch it and see.

Shaun of the Dead released April 2004 |
Shaun of the Dead 2004
Simon plays the character of Shaun a saleman in an electronics store. Not only does he have to deal
with a breakup with his girlfriend Liz, and problems with his mum..or rather is stepfather, now he and his best mate Ed have
to deal with zombies as well...what's a guy to do, but choke up on his cricket bat and save the world, or atleast himself,
from being eaten alive. Dubbed a rom-zom this movie is definitive Simon Pegg with running jokes and truly hilarious moments...A
definite must see.
The Big Nothing
The Big Nothing starring Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer was released
in December 2006 and was considered a black comedy. Basically what it is is two hapless guys and one seemingly innocent girl
(Alice Eve) looking to make some fast cash...and willing to do whatever it takes to do so. Now not a lot of people cared for
this movie and I have to tell you hearing Simon without his accent threw me a little, but I found it funny, charming, and
Simon's death scene....oooops....spoiler there. Anyway give it a look and I promise you won't be dissappointed.

For this project Pegg brought in Frost, his best friend. For his performance in this series, Pegg was nominated for a British Comedy Award as Best Male Comedy Newcomer. Pegg co-wrote (with Spaced director Edgar Wright) and starred in the "romantic zombie comedy" film Shaun of the Dead, released in April 2004. At George A. Romero's invitation, Pegg and Wright made cameo appearances in Romero's latest zombie film, Land of the Dead. In 2004 Pegg also starred in a spin-off of the television show Danger! 50,000 Volts! called Danger! 50,000 Zombies!, in which he played a Zombie Hunter named Dr Russel Fell.

British film industry for bigger and better things, to which he replied "It's not like I'm going to run off and do Mission: Impossible III!" which he then promptly went on to do, playing Benji Dunn, an I.M.F. technician who assists Tom Cruise's character, Ethan Hunt. In 2006 he played an American character, Gus, in Big Nothing alongside David Schwimmer.
In 2006, Pegg and Wright completed their second film, Hot Fuzz, released in February 2007. The film is a police-action movie homage and also stars Nick Frost. Pegg plays Nicholas Angel,
